Invented, designed and created
in Cornish, NH, Sharff's one-of-a-kind semi-hollow electric
guitar dubbed the Turtlectric Guitar makes use of an
American snapping turtle shell as the guitar's back. The
segmented faceplate is formed from genuine mahogany and Spanish
cedar. Components include an ebony fretboard, bridge and
tailpiece, genuine mahogany neck, ziricote headstock, redwood
truss rod cover, stainless steel adjustable truss rod, Kent
Armstrong humbucking jazz pickup and mother of pearl position
markers and inlays. A ukulele version of this guitar (dubbed
the Turtlelele) was designed and built alongside by Joe BelBruno.
